Bikini Bank
“Bikini Bank” playfully explores visibility, desire, and cultural codes through the bikini as both a marker of femininity and a symbol of social expectation. The series draws on humor and irony, using visual puns—like the Spanish saying “la hucha,” referencing a hint of a buttock—to create formal analogies between the body and objects. By transforming a familiar garment into a site of critical reflection, “Bikini Bank” invites viewers to consider how cultural imagery, expectation, and humor intersect in the perception of the female body.
The series includes works in private collections and others available for purchase upon request.
