Cristina Guerrero Was born in San Sebastián, Spain, in 1979. She lives in Errenteria (Guipúzcoa) and Marbella (Málaga). She first encountered oil painting techniques in 1988 at the academy/workshop of the painter Xabier Obeso. She trained there until entering university in 1997. She graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country in 2002. This training has been complemented by studies and qualifications in design, photography, and lighting, which she uses as an essential tool in her artistic work. Since 2004, she has established herself on the international art scene through solo and group exhibitions in various galleries and international art fairs, including those in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Alicante, New York, Chicago, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hanover, and Hamburg, among others.

SIMILARITIES The relationship between the object and the body is manifested in a profound and symbolic way. When observing her works, the viewer is confronted with a series of images that are carefully constructed analogies that invite deeper reflection.

Guerrero favors realistic representation, creating oil paintings characterized by their fidelity to detail and a truthful use of light and shadow. Each work is the result of a laborious process that combines meticulous observation with consummate technique. Fresh and imaginative, his work is also an analysis of the relationship between the iconic image and 21st-century society, offering a renewed perspective on the enduring relevance of realism.
